Dr. Aron Method Update: 5 1/2 Months

It's time for another Dr. Aron Method Update! I know I just posted an update a few weeks ago, but I actually recorded that video in November, and it's already well into January. I've also been flaring pretty badly, so I wanted to share that with you all. In the last update I talked about how I had been eating really poorly and I needed to stop eating all the sugar and crappy foods. Well, after recording that video I stepped right into the holiday season and continued to eat all of the bad things for my body.
I've been doing a lot better this month, but I think my diet is the reason I've been flaring so badly. I was on three applications a day, but after checking in with Dr. Aron I'm back up to four a day to tame the inflammation. As far as my diet goes, I'm focused on eating a lot more fresh veggies, no gluten, no dairy, and only natural sugars (fruit, and very minimal honey and coconut sugar).

The main reason I wanted to check in is to share that this process has not been a linear journey. It's been a roller coaster ride, even after starting the Aron Method; a much calmer, tamer, roller coaster ride, but lots of ups and downs nonetheless. In the past, if my healing process wasn't going the way I wanted I would stress, beat myself up and blame myself for the lack of progress. However, this whole journey has taught me that EVERY up and down is necessary in order to grow. Things don't always go the way that we want, but there's a lesson in every experience. I needed this time of lax eating habits to remind myself of the whole reason I began Topical Steroid Withdrawal. Whether on The Aron Method or not, it is my goal to heal from the inside out. The Aron Method has expedited the process, but has also made it clear that I need to eat to heal. This flare has forced me to take a step back, assess the situation, and move forward in a positive and constructive way. Check out the video to learn more.
As always, thanks for tuning in! I've added a few pictures below so you can see the progress of my skin. Much love and I'll talk to you guys next time.

Hey Lauren,
Have you tried Calamine lotion without Urea before applying Aron's compound?
And getting more sun will help too!
It'll help kill of the staph!!
Soph :)

I'm Lauren, aka Just Du Pree, and I want to thank you for reading. This is a space where I share my very personal journey healing from eczema and topical steroid withdrawal (among other things), life lessons I've learned along the way, and occasionally the thoughts of an awkward Black girl (no Issa Rae). I'm a performer and filmmaker, so if you feel so inclined, pop over here to see what goes on in my mind on the regular. If you like what you see, you can stay up to date with my work here. Much love, friends!
