Coping with her failing health due to Topical Steroid Withdrawal Syndrome (TSWS), a young, Black theatre actress escapes her pain through musical fantasies only to discover she must face her reality to get the help she needs.
Atopic is a semi autobiographical feature film about my experience with TSWS while working as a full-time actor. On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, I launched the fundraising campaign to complete the film project with Atopic Happy Hour. The virtual program featured the premiere of the concept trailer, live performances of original music from the film, and a panel discussion with women from all over the country about their experiences with Topical Steroid Withdrawal Syndrome, including Kelly Barta, State Advocacy Project Manager of the Allergy & Asthma Network and Kathryn Tullos, President of the International Topical Steroid Awareness Network.
